MORONI 10:32-33

"Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God. And again, if ye by the grace of God are perfect in Christ, and deny not his power, then are ye sanctified in Christ by the grace of God, through the shedding of the blood of Christ, which is in the covenant of the Father unto the remission of your sins, that ye become holy, without spot."

Hello everyone!!:) Congrats on the last week of school and for all you graduating seniors! You did it:) ahhh so exciting!! Also, Welcome Home to my good buddy Jaydon! Mission Accomplished...Great work Elder!!!

This week was awesome! I will try to remember everything that happened:) Some sad news, on Tuesday "S" dropped us! Kind of unexpected...It was so sad but we were completely overcome with peace. Heavenly Father reminded us that His plan is much bigger than ours. She is in His hands and everything will work out according to His will and His timing. I have no doubt. I'm excited for what the future holds for her. Although I KNOW how much the Gospel will bless her life NOW, I know that it will mean so much more to her when the timing is right! I can't wait for that day.

Right after that happened, we decided to walk to a potential investigator's who lives close by. On our way, a lady driving by rolled down her window and flagged us down. So we went over and talked to her. She said, "I was baptized into your church in Africa" ...WHATTT??? We couldn't believe it. She said that she hasn't come to church since she moved to the US because she didn't know where to find it. But she recognized us and we were able to tell her about our church and found out that she is actually in our ward boundaries. SO AMAZING! And such a tender mercy. I'm so excited to help her and work with her to feel that spirit again and come back to church.

I learned a really valuable lesson from this experience that's so applicable to our lives. First of all, God is there. He has a plan for us that we cannot see-yet it is above and beyond our expectations. If we put complete trust in Him, He will widen our perspective and help us to see a glimpse of His remarkable plan. Second, after every trial, there are good things to come! We need that Eternal perspective to know that our trials are not going to last long, there is good in every trial, and there are great lessons to learn from them. I'm so grateful for trials. "S" just dropped us, then literally 30 minutes after, God provided a miracle for us and reminded us that He is there. I hope that makes sense...there's not enough words to really explain it and the amazing spirit I felt from this learning moment:) D&C 121:7-9
"My son, peace be unto thy soul; thine adversity and thine afflictions shall be but a small moment; And then, if thou endure it well, God shall exalt thee on high; thou shalt triumph over all thy foes. Thy friends do stand by thee, and they shall hail thee again with warm hearts and friendly hands."

"K" got BAPTIZED this week! It was an amaaaaaazing day!! She was beaming...soooo excited! I have absolutely loved teaching her; children have such a sweet spirit!! Once she came up out of the water, she started yelling, "YAYYYY" "YAY" "YYYAAAYYY" in the font. haha How sweet is that? We were all in tears, I was just so touched. She really understands how amazing baptism is....what a special opportunity.

We had the funnest Memorial Day (thankful Memorial Day landed on a P-day) we went to our Ward Breakfast and played volleyball and frisbee and had an egg toss. Some less-active members came that we have been working with which made us sooooo happy!!! Then all of the missionaries got together and had a sand volleyball tournament....it was sooo fun! It was HOT too:) despite my lack of volleyball talent...we did good and had such a fun time! haha Happy Memorial Day;)

I absolutely love this scripture in Moroni 7:41-43. I've learned a lot from it this week! I know you will be able to learn from it too:) I love this work!
"And what is it that ye shall hope for? Behold I say unto you that ye shall have hope through the atonement of Christ and the power of his resurrection, to be raised unto life eternal, and this because of your faith in him according to the promise. Wherefore, if a man have faith he must needs have hope; for without faith there cannot be any hope. And again, behold I say unto you that he cannot have faith and hope, save he shall be meek, and lowly of heart."

COMIN' ATCHA LIVE FROM THE INDY 500!!!! :)

Holaaaaa:)

This week was crazyyyyyy! And so so great! I've loved meeting with "S" this week...we've seen her a few times, and every single time the spirit is so strong! We were explaining to her more about the Book Of Mormon because she didn't quite understand it, and it just clicked. She was so amazed that God would provide a second witness of Christ, in the Americas, with prophets teachings, Christ's teachings, advice for us in these modern days...it just all made sense to her. It was the coolest moment. She said "if this is so clear, why doesn't everyone just believe in the Book of Mormon?" I felt like just sitting back and saying "Exactly." haha I KNOW the Book of Mormon is true...and not only is it 100% true, but it's SO IMPORTANT. I am so grateful for it.

We also had Zone Conference this week. I Looooovveeeeeeee zone conference! We learned about the importance of going to church. I know there is a power that comes to us when we attend church and partake of the Sacrament. Being able to do that every week is a huge privilege and blessing. We also talked about receiving strength beyond our own. We sat in a circle and each read a verse of scripture that has given us strength beyond our own when we were going through a trial in our lives. Holy spiiirrriiiitttttuallll moment. Sister Cleveland encouraged us to really find that strength when we need it-it is so accessible, something so simple as prayer and scripture study will give us the greatest strength we could ask for. It's amazing when investigators realize that too. I love being able to be there when they truly rely on the scriptures and receive strength from them!

I love Pres. & S. Cleveland...I can't believe they are going home soon :(

Ivy is going back to China again for two months, so she made us dinner this week. How fun is that! I got to try some authentic Chinese food and use chopsticks...Also, my Chinese is improving...who knew I would learn Chinese when I got called to Indiana....prepare yourself...tis fun:)

TRACTING!!!!

Miracle moment: We didn't have a lot of success tracting this week but Heavenly Father provides for us. We had about 15 minutes until we had to be at our dinner appointment, so we were debating if we should tract for that time, or go chill with the members early. So of course we decided to tract:) If you can believe it, a sweet man opened up and talked to us about how he has seen the Temple and is super interested in it. We are going to give him a tour around the temple grounds and around our church too! And then we taught him a doors-step Restoration lesson and he was SO INTERESTED! AH it just made our whole week and I know Heavenly Father provides for us if we do all that we can!

I love you all...thanks for all the love and support!

MORONI 7:33

Hey howdy Hey! What a fantastic week:)

We are seeing miracles my my my. We were walking out of a lesson with a Bermese guy and right outside of his apt was a lady standing outside smoking and playing with her kids. We started talking to her and she thought it was SO COOL that we were missionaries. She asked if we could come inside. When we went in, she poured her heart out about how she is in a really dark place right now and how her marriage is struggling and how she wants to stop using drugs and strengthen her family and bring her kids up in a church and become clean of her sins, etc, etc, etc. It took everything in me to not teach all 5 lessons right there haha. We talked to her about how we can all be forgiven of our sins and start over...which led into baptism. She kept saying "I really need to do this" "I'm ready to change" "I really want to do this". Talk about softened heart right? I can't believe we literally crossed paths too. She accepted a baptismal date in June and is already working so hard to change. She even came to church!:) I just kept picturing her in the Relief Society with a calling...she fits right in:) Her name is S*...she kept saying to me, "You look so familiar, I just really feel like I've seen you before" haha I seriously think we have seen each other before S*...let me tell you about the plan of salvation;) (jk I didn't say that) But this is cool stuff people. I'm just so amazed how much the Gospel truly does bless our lives.

AT THE BAPTISM!!!
You know it's a good week when you get to see S. Miles and S. Hamilton :)

Some other highlights of the week: We went to a baptism for the Westfield missionaries and I got to see soooo many of my sweet mission friends. That was so fun! All of us missionaries (there was about 16-20 who came) sang Come Unto Christ. Holy cow...the spirit was so strong. I will always remember that moment. It was so powerful to be standing there with some awesome missionaries, at a baptism, singing about Christ. Pooowwwwerrrrffffuuuulllll!

We also had the opportunity to help out at an assisted living center. I seriously love those people! I talked to a lady who was 102 years old! WOW. We painted their nails, made them cotton candy, and served food while they watched some country dancing. :)

4 MONTHS!!!!
And the craziest part...I hit 4 months this week....where did that month go? Insane! I can honestly say that I absolutely LOVEEEE my mission and being a missionary. I'm so grateful to be here! I know that this is not me...at all! It's amazing to be an instrument in God's hands. So SO So so grateful!

"And Christ hath said: If ye will have faith in me
ye shall have power to do whatsoever thing is expedient in me."

BREAK IN'S, EXCHANGES, & BAPTISM DATES!!!

HELLO!! Happy MAY!

I can't believe it's May already! I'm going to call it Miracle May:) We saw so many miracles this week! I'm so grateful! Also...I GOT TO TALK TO MY FAMMM:) Which was wonderful! Happy Mothers Day!

What I saw!!! AHHHHHHH!!!!
What they saw!!! Sure love you guys!!!
Everyone else who was here behind the scenes....The Mother's Day Crew!!!

So along with miracles comes crazy experiences too....This week we were helping a sister in our ward move, and when we showed up and walked inside, a man tried to break into the house! We hid in the back room and I called the cops. They came really quick and helped us figure everything out! Things don't ever happen like this in our area...Poor Sister Luo is going to think she's in Crossroads;) But it was a fun experience...we lived to tell the tale:) To be honest....it was the biggest adrenaline rush...talk about exciting day;)

One of my favorite things to do is offer service to random people...they seem to never accept it, but this week some awesome things happened from it. We offered to help a lady take some groceries inside and she said she was okay so we walked back to the car and started to drive away. As we passed their house, the dad came to the street and flagged us down. We rolled down the window and he asked, "I was just wondering where I can get more information about your church" haha WHAT? We got out and taught him the restoration and talked to him about our church and he was so interested. He said he wanted to bring his family to church sometime soon and learn more. I'm so excited to meet with him again!! Miracles from offering service...I’m pretty sure that's a real thing:)

We are working with a cute girl who is being adopted by her aunt and uncle who live in our ward. Her aunt asked us to teach her because she is going to get baptized at the end of this month! I love teaching her because the gospel is so simple to her and so powerful! WE ARE SO HAPPY FOR HER! Her name is Ka*:)

Another quick miracle moment…We had a lesson scheduled with a guy and we had a member who was going to come to it with us. That morning, the guy cancelled the lesson but I felt like we should still use the member and go visit someone else. M* immediately popped into my head. We visited him and had an AWESOME lesson! He started talking about baptism and how he never had the opportunity to CHOOSE to be baptized for himself. Guess what folks...he's now on date to be baptized in June! I was amazed how Heavenly Father led us to this man who was prepared...even though we didn't plan on seeing him in the first place. I'm so grateful for the spirit to guide and direct us everyday.

We were also able to go on exchanges with the STLs this week! I LOVE doing this! I learn so much every single time! We were able to see K* again and recommit him to be baptized. He seems much more motivated this time and it helped so much to have my STL there too to offer some incites to him that we had not! Miracle timing:) YAY!

Exchanges with STLs

I am so amazed and so humbled to see what happens when you follow through with even the smallest promptings. I know God has a much bigger plan for us than we have for ourselves. When we follow the spirit, more miracles come than we ever expected.

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart;
and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him,
and he shall direct thy paths."
Proverbs 3:5-6

Thanks for all the love and support! Have a great week!

NI HAO...SISTER LUO!!!

1st Day Together! I love her soooooo much!!!
Ni Hao :)

WHAT AN AMAZING WEEK! Wow...I'm blown away. (literally-we have had two tornadoes this week...hahaha...I will explain later) I have felt the strength that comes from your prayers this week so thank you so so so much for praying for the missionaries!

I GOT MY CUTE TRAINEE! Her name is Sister Luo (pronounced "LOU'awe" rhymes with "YOU....ahhh!" ) and she might just be the sweetest being ever. We have been learning a lot together and we've had so much fun! She is such a great example to me...I feel like she is the one training ME. She is always looking for ways to improve, setting goals, and working sooooo hard. I love it! What an awesome week! I AM SO GRATEFUL!

We have seen the miracles flowing in this week. Every single one of our appointments fell through...every one. haha but It was totally meant to be. We were lead to those appointments to be in the right place at the right time. We were lead to people who we needed to see...that we originally hadn't planned on seeing. I love the quote, "Things don't have to be going "right" to be Good". That's this week in a nutshell. Heavenly Father has a bigger plan than what we have for our self. I think this is so true in our daily life too...things may not go how we think they should- but they happen for a reason, because we are all in God's hands.

Sister Luo is a natural. I have "proud mommy moments" all the time;) She amazes me. It's so inspired that she is in this area too because we have so many awesome Chinese people! Especially I*- they hit it off and are best friends. This will be AWESOME because Sister Luo will be able to explain things in Chinese when I* needs it.

Cool experience: It was Sister Luo's first time tracting and we tracted into a Chinese lady...guess who did the whole restoration BY HERSELF in Chinese! haha I was so proud! She said she just followed the spirit and bore her testimony. And I could feel the spirit so strong. It was awesome! This sweet lady is at a perfect place for the Gospel in her life. She has so much potential. I'm so excited to work with her and see how much the Gospel can bless her life.

Ok i'll explain the tornadoes :) We didn't have any here... BUT there was one in Zionsville and also Plainfield...CRAZY! We got a TONNNN of rain...it was fun to see the streets fill up with water super fast! Twas an eventful week:)

**From an email to Mama B...The tornado warning siren was so scary...it sounded like 10 firetrucks hahaha They have drills sometimes so I knew what it was! We were close to the church and I was tempted to go camp out there for protection haha;)

We also got the awesome opportunity to work in the Temple again! I love the Temple so much! The peace that the Temple brings is so amazing...I'm so grateful to have the Temple in my area!

I'm so grateful for this Gospel. It truly brings happiness. I know 100% that Heavenly Father is there for us and will provide a way for us. He knows every single one of our needs and with Him, anything is possible.

Love you!
