Happy Thanksgiving Week!!!*

I'm sure grateful for this season to remember how we are SO blessed!! Grateful for YOU! 

This was a fantastic week! We saw miracles and got to do tons of cool service projects too, which is always a favorite of mine.

"WAIT...WHAT?!"
SHOCKED...CONFUSED...TRANSFER CALL FACES

Before I start, we got transfer calls this weekend and oh my my...transfer fate is always so unexpected. We were SHOCKED!! Dying to find out, okay...I'll tell you. Sister Ben will be LEAVING and going to be companions with my MTC companion, Sister Nuttall. And I will be STAYING HERE and TRAINING a new sister again!! AHHHHH:):) I'm so excited!!!!! I can't believe I get this awesome opportunity again and I just can't wait to meet this sweet new sister. She's coming to the best mission...best campus....best ward...best YSA.....ahhh i'm just so excited. That means I will be here for at least 7 1/2 months, good thing I love this place so much:) Our whole zone is changing a lot which is super sad, we've made some really awesome friendships here, but now we will get to meet new friends:) I have seen Heavenly Father preparing us this week for this change and I know that it will be an amazing experience with His help. D&C 64:33

"Wherefore, be not weary in well-doing, for ye are laying the foundation of a great work. And out of small things proceedeth that which is great."

We saw miracles this week in the work. We were texting many people and felt like we should reach out to some old investigators who we've lost contact with or who had some struggles and needed a break from being taught. Turned out to be amazing lessons both times and we are going to start teaching and working with them again!! Promptings are too cool, and the outcome of when you follow them is even cooler. How humbling!! I definitely felt the help of the Holy Ghost in those lessons, prompting us on what to say to help them the most. I don't know what we would do without the help of the Holy Ghost. 

We also had the awesome opportunity to volunteer at the NCAA Cross Country Finals this weekend which was a hiiiiiighlight!! It was such a fun event and we even saw/met with the BYU team! It was so awesome to see familiar faces from good ol Utah!!!! That night, we went to a fireside with the team and I was so touched by their testimonies and reliance on the Lord for help and strength. And, bonus, they did fantastic at finals!! Go BYU :) 

"A"s Lesson was amazing this week. When we started talking to him, the spirit prompted me that we needed to teach something different than what we had planned. It was just what he needed and It was such a testimony to me that Heavenly Father knows us best. The Spirit was super strong in the lesson, and at one point he stopped and shared a thought of something he needed to do. We were able to help him see that it was a prompting from the Holy Ghost and that it was important to follow it. So cool to see him progress each week and see him learn how to rely on the spirit and recognize promptings.

"H" is also doing wonderful. This week we asked him what the three parts to the Atonement were (Gethsemane, on the Cross, and being Resurrected) and he quickly responded, "Celestial, Terrestrial, and Telestial" haha we got a good laugh from it, but I'm super impressed with his memory. He's 9!!!! Nice job "H" you're doing good buddy! haha

A great week that was great because of the promptings of the spirit! I know it is not only important, but totally vital that we seek the spirit, recognize the promptings that come, then quickly act on them. If we do, miracles come! So grateful to have that guidance, comfort, discernment, and confirmation that comes from the spirit. It's truly called the GIFT of the Holy Ghost for a reason. That's a gift from Heavenly Father that I know I take for granted too often. Seek the spirit this week, I know you will feel a difference and notice an impact all around you. 

"And whoso receiveth you, there I will be also, for I will go before your face. I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my Spirit shall be in your hearts, and mine angels round about you, to bear you up." ~D&C 84:88

ZONE CONFERENCE, EXCHANGES AND TURKEY RUN?

Hello everyone!! 

OK. First of all, thank you so very very much for all the sweet birthday wishes! 

I seriously felt the love today and it means more than I can say! 

THANK YOU! I LOVE YOU! I am so blessed to have the best friends and family!

This week was fantastic!! We had zone conference and it was amazing. There's nothing like going to those conferences and being surrounded by the spirit. I loved the trainings that were given and I felt like we were really able to receive some guidance and inspiration for what we could do better on and how to help our investigators more. Grateful for that! It's always fun to see my sweet missionary friends as well!

Right after zone conferences, we had exchanges with the STL's which was amazing. We definitely saw miracles. It's amazing to me that we can be in the right place at the right time to meet someone who truly needs the message of the restoration. HOW HUMBLING. I've said it a lot before, but I just know that this is not our work! I know that Heavenly Father LOVES His children so much. 

We were just able to teach a lot of cool people this week. It's fun to see some of our investigators progressing now too! Good things happening here in Terredise! Feeling very blessed! And another wonderful thing happened on Sunday...'A' blessed the sacrament!! It was the coolest moment and he did so good. There was a super powerful spirit in the meeting and I am just amazed at how wonderful this gospel is. 

This week's scripture is from Mr. 'A' himself. He sent it to us and I just love it. D&C 98:1-3 

"Verily I say unto you my friends, fear not, let your hearts be comforted; yea, rejoice evermore, and in everything give thanks; Waiting patiently on the Lord, for your prayers have entered into the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth, and are recorded with this seal and testament—the Lord hath sworn and decreed that they shall be granted. Therefore, he giveth this promise unto you, with an immutable covenant that they shall be fulfilled; and all things wherewith you have been afflicted shall work together for your good, and to my name’s glory, saith the Lord."

Never forget that we are in the Lord's hands. It's so reassuring, he promises us that it will all work out, no matter what!

IT JUST MAKES SENSE

Hola mi amigos :) 

It was a quick week, hope it was a good one for ya! 

Happy November!!!!

We had some awesome experiences this week...the kind that you walk away from and say, "Did that seriously just happen?" These are some experiences that I will remember forever. We shall start with "J".  "J" is about 21 and she has a 5 year old son. She has conquered all the criticizing comments everyone has thrown at her saying that "She'll never make it"...now she's in college and doing great things! We met with her this week and she told us about her friend, "E", that is really struggling with her faith, so guess what "J" does...she whips out the restoration pamphlet and teaches her. haha it was so awesome, we were freaking out as she was telling us about it. Well then half way through our lesson with "J", she gets up and says, "One sec, 'E' is here" and comes back a few mins later with 'E'! We talked for a little bit and she really wants to meet up now! YAY. 

Then another night, we had just finished teaching 'J2', our last appointment of the day. As we were getting ready to leave, we see a guy named 'S' that we have talked to maybe once on campus before. He got asking us questions about our future and was really upset that we took time out of our lives and put our education on hold to be here now. haha he got pretty upset....then the conversation took a turn and he was basically telling us about everything wrong in the world and in his life. He even considered himself to be almost an atheist. He said he's prayed and prayed and waited and talked and prayed and waited etc etc etc, and has gotten nothing. We testified to him that God is there and that He is aware of him, and suggested that maybe all these places weren't giving him the answers he needed because they didn't have the answers themselves. We taught the restoration and he questioned it in depth, but it was the coolest lesson ever because he just kept saying, "...oh...that DOES make sense." By the end of it, he wanted to know more, asked to meet again, and said he was seriously going to consider this. AMAZING!! I know that this church is Christ's, that's why it makes complete and perfect sense. It will give us the direction and the answers we are seeking, because it has the fullness. Christ is at the head of it, and His power is here on the earth today. Who knew you could get an adrenaline rush from a lesson haha :)

On the other hand, here is a funny story for ya....not all lessons are that exciting ;) We taught a cute girl who was apostolic. She loved the restoration and thanked us for meeting with her and wanted to keep meeting week to week. At the end, she flipped over the pamphlet and saw the picture of the Book of Mormon. She asked if we were Mormon and then facetimed her mom right there, who asked us many questions. It was fun :) haha We are happy that she had an opportunity to learn about the restoration, and I can't wait for her to receive another opportunity to learn.  

ANOTHER HIGHLIGHT....'A' got the Priesthood on Sunday! AH So exciting, good things coming his way! We are so proud of him, it is the coolest experience watching his testimony grow! SO GRATEFUL.

Last one, on Sunday, our day cleared up so we were trying to decide what to do, and I felt really prompted to visit a less active in our ward. We went to her house and her house-mate came out and said that he was JUST praying for some help in strengthening his faith. We had an awesome conversation and we get to see him again this week! So grateful for the spirit to tell us what we should do and where to go. 

AH so sorry, this is a novel this week! Grateful for this amazing time of life that I get to be a missionary. Never forget....John 17:33. 

"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."

I AM GRATEFUL FOR THE RESTORATION . . . H A P P Y H A L L O W E E N ! ! !

Hello everyone!! 

What a fantastic week! 

Thanks so much for all the support, it means the world! 

ALSO, h a p p y  h a l l o w e e n AND Happy Birthday to my sweet dad and my cousin Taylor! LOVE YA. Hope it's a good one! 

This week wrapped up week 3 of the transfer...wut...I feel like we just started. What a fun month it has been! Hope you all are well.

This week we had lots of time to find!! It was awesome, we got to meet some really cool people and see familiar faces around campus! With lots of finding time, came fun conversations with Sister Ben. I think we played "Would you rather" all week :) We were also blessed to teach some cool lessons, most of them happened to be on the Plan of Salvation, so I got to study a lot about it in my personal studies. It was amazing! I learned so much! It truly is the plan of happiness. It was amazing to see how so many of our investigators questions were answered because of the plan. I'm so grateful for the restoration; because of it, we have much more knowledge about what happens when we die, our purpose, etc. Which brings me to a cool experience we had this week. 

In district meeting, Elder Wright was talking about the restoration and how much we are blessed because of it. He asked us, "What part of the restoration are you grateful for?" I reaallllyyy loved this question because it got me thinking...I am so grateful for the restoration! It truly is because of the restoration that we have...ALL that we have now: The Book of Mormon, The Priesthood, Prophets, Revelation, Temples, The Plan of Salvation, more of Christ etc, etc, etc, I could go on and on. So I studied the Restoration for my personal studies and I got some super cool insights. Heavenly Father helped me to see of some ways that I could teach the restoration better, to be more impactful, and it has helped a lot. SO conclusion...I'm just suuuuper grateful for the restoration!

We got to start to teach "A" his new member lessons and he is just doing awesome!! He has a great spirit about him and is always happy. I know that no matter what you have gone through, or going through currently in your life, it can be overcome and made right through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I know it! 

"And he who receiveth all things with thankfulnessshall be made glorious; and the things of this earth shall be added unto him, even an hundred fold, yea, more." D&C 78:19

M I R A C L E S

HEY!! What a week!!!

I have to be quick so I will share one highlight, but it was another great, miraculous week! :)

Highlight: We were working with "A" a lot this week and HOLY COW....this kid has just made a complete 180:) I'm so amazed at his diligence, and he's seen blessings because of it! His baptism was amazing! Everything came together and it just turned out great. There was such a powerful spirit and it was so cool to see him so excited. After he was baptized, he bore his testimony and I was amazed. He cried the whole time and I'm pretty sure no one could deny the spirit that was there. Even our investigators that came said it was a powerful experience for them too. Afterwards, "A" just glowed. One of my favorite moments is to hear, when he is being confirmed, "receive the Holy Ghost"... AMAZING! He has this light in his eyes, he is a new person. We went to dinner together as a group after the baptism and he said, "Look at us, the Mormon clan" haha we all died. Excited for all the wonderful things that are coming his way. This gospel is a huge blessing. What a humbling experience to be a small part of. It's just a huge testimony to me that Heavenly Father will mold us into the person He has in-visioned for us if we let Him. 

"And now, my beloved brethren, after ye have gotten into this strait and narrow path, I would ask if all is done? Behold, I say unto you, Nay; for ye have not come thus far save it were by the word of Christ with unshaken faith in him, relying wholly upon the merits of him who is mighty to save. Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastnessin Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a loveof God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life. And now, behold, my beloved brethren, this is the way; and there is none other way nor name given under heaven whereby man can be saved in the kingdom of God. And now, behold, this is the doctrine of Christ, and the only and true doctrine of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, which is one God, without end. Amen." ~2 Nephi 31:19-21

So grateful to be a missionary here, this is truly a wonderful experience. I know that this church is Christ's true church on the earth, and that it brings true and everlasting happiness. I have seen the Lord's hand in our week and I am so grateful for His love.
