I AM GRATEFUL FOR THE RESTORATION . . . H A P P Y H A L L O W E E N ! ! !

Hello everyone!!
What a fantastic week!

Thanks so much for all the support, it means the world!

ALSO, h a p p y  h a l l o w e e n ðŸ•¸AND Happy Birthday to my sweet dad and my cousin Taylor! LOVE YA. Hope it's a good one!

This week wrapped up week 3 of the transfer...wut...I feel like we just started. What a fun month it has been! Hope you all are well.

This week we had lots of time to find!! It was awesome, we got to meet some really cool people and see familiar faces around campus! With lots of finding time, came fun conversations with Sister Ben. I think we played "Would you rather" all week :) We were also blessed to teach some cool lessons, most of them happened to be on the Plan of Salvation, so I got to study a lot about it in my personal studies. It was amazing! I learned so much! It truly is the plan of happiness. It was amazing to see how so many of our investigators questions were answered because of the plan. I'm so grateful for the restoration; because of it, we have much more knowledge about what happens when we die, our purpose, etc. Which brings me to a cool experience we had this week.

In district meeting, Elder Wright was talking about the restoration and how much we are blessed because of it. He asked us, "What part of the restoration are you grateful for?" I reaallllyyy loved this question because it got me thinking...I am so grateful for the restoration! It truly is because of the restoration that we have...ALL that we have now: The Book of Mormon, The Priesthood, Prophets, Revelation, Temples, The Plan of Salvation, more of Christ etc, etc, etc, I could go on and on. So I studied the Restoration for my personal studies and I got some super cool insights. Heavenly Father helped me to see of some ways that I could teach the restoration better, to be more impactful, and it has helped a lot. SO conclusion...I'm just suuuuper grateful for the restoration!

We got to start to teach "A" his new member lessons and he is just doing awesome!! He has a great spirit about him and is always happy. I know that no matter what you have gone through, or going through currently in your life, it can be overcome and made right through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I know it!
"And he who receiveth all things with thankfulnessshall be made glorious; and the things of this earth shall be added unto him, even an hundred fold, yea, more." D&C 78:19
Love you guys! Have a great week!

M I R A C L E S

HEY!! What a week!!!

I have to be quick so I will share one highlight, but it was another great, miraculous week! :)

Highlight: We were working with "A" a lot this week and HOLY COW....this kid has just made a complete 180:) I'm so amazed at his diligence, and he's seen blessings because of it! His baptism was amazing! Everything came together and it just turned out great. There was such a powerful spirit and it was so cool to see him so excited. After he was baptized, he bore his testimony and I was amazed. He cried the whole time and I'm pretty sure no one could deny the spirit that was there. Even our investigators that came said it was a powerful experience for them too. Afterwards, "A" just glowed. One of my favorite moments is to hear, when he is being confirmed, "receive the Holy Ghost"... AMAZING! He has this light in his eyes, he is a new person. We went to dinner together as a group after the baptism and he said, "Look at us, the Mormon clan" haha we all died. Excited for all the wonderful things that are coming his way. This gospel is a huge blessing. What a humbling experience to be a small part of. It's just a huge testimony to me that Heavenly Father will mold us into the person He has in-visioned for us if we let Him.

"And now, my beloved brethren, after ye have gotten into this strait and narrow pathwould ask if all is doneBehold, say unto you, Nay; for ye have not come thus far save it were by the word of Christ with unshaken faith in him, relying wholly upon the merits of him who is mighty to saveWherefore, ye must press forward with steadfastnessin Christ, having perfect brightness of hopeand loveof God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal lifeAnd now, behold, my beloved brethren, this is the wayand there is none other way nor name given under heaven whereby man can be saved in the kingdom of God. And now, behold, this is the doctrine of Christ, and the only and true doctrine of the Fatherand of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, which is one Godwithout end. Amen." ~2 Nephi 31:19-21

So grateful to be a missionary here, this is truly a wonderful experience. I know that this church is Christ's true church on the earth, and that it brings true and everlasting happiness. I have seen the Lord's hand in our week and I am so grateful for His love.

Thank you so much for all the support! xoxo

{ HUMP DAY } { HALF WAY }

Hello!!!
What an awesome week!
I hope it has been amazing for you all!

I came across an INCREDIBLE scripture this week...I'm making it my theme:
"I know that which the Lord hath commanded me, & I glory in it. I do not glory of myself, but I glory in that which the Lord hath commanded me; Yea, and this is my glory, that perhaps I may be an instrument in the hands of God to bring some soul to repentance; and this is my JOY." ~Alma 29:9
I also hit my 9 month mark, so this week I have been reflecting on my mission, on my personal testimony and conversion, and the Hand of the Lord in my life. It's safe to say that I am just completely humbled at the love and grace that Heavenly Father has blessed me with. I can't put into words my gratitude and my testimony. I know that Heavenly Father is there, completely aware and that this church is 100% true. I'm so grateful for the many experiences that I have had to help me grow, I've got a long way to go, but I am excited to grow more with the Lord. SO grateful to have at least 9 months more to go. It's going fast, and I'm sure loving every second of it. This is a time I will cherish forever.

OK SORRY...I'm so out of time...but this week was wonderful. It included getting stuck in a complete downpour and then an investigator showing up with an umbrella big enough for 3, life-saving hot chocolate for freezing cold mornings, showing up in the right place at the right time to meet incredible people that I know Heavenly Father put in our path, putting anti-Mormon views to rest and feeling the spirit confirm truth to us, seeing prayer work mighty miracles in humble, comfort-seeking college students, and scratching old ladies backs at nursing homes because they ask...let's not talk about it....hahaha. OH we also got to volunteer at the Griffin Bike Park opening, which was way too fun! I'm loving fall, everything is gorgeous.

"A" is READY. His baptism will be this Saturday. What a journey. It's just a testimony that Heavenly Father guides His children when they are ready; He prepares them, walks by them, and gives them trials to mold them into the person He created them to be. He never ever leaves them, but lets them learn on their own. His hand is in our lives more than we can see. SO EXCITED FOR HIM. "A" shared the most amazing and humble testimony this week in his lesson, he was crying and my heart was bursting. This dude is amazing.

At church, one of our amazing YSA's gave a talk and said something SO touching. He said that when he got back from his mission, his Stake President told him, "Tell your mission stories for 6 months, then get new stories." haha Meaning, seek new testimony building experiences. Don't stop! Keep growing! He talked about the way to do this is to be anxiously engaged. Are we just going through the motions? Or are we seeking experiences to have our testimony strengthened. This was awesome for me to hear, I always need to evaluate my missionary efforts to be more anxiously engaged. But it's so applicable to all of us. If we are anxiously engaged, we will have new stories to share, we will grow closer to Heavenly Father and see growth in us.

"Verily I say, men should be anxiously engaged
in a good cause, and do many things of their own free will, and bring to pass much righteousness" ~D&C 58:27

Thanks for listening to my rambling :) Hope you are all amazing! Sorry for not responding to emails this week, but know that I appriciate them SO MUCH! Love ya

ALMA 26:35

"Now have we not reason to rejoice? Yea, I say unto you, there never were men that had so great reason to rejoice as we, since the world began; yea, and my joy is carried away, even unto boasting in my God; for he has all powerall wisdom, and all understanding; he comprehendeth all things, and he is a merciful Being, even unto salvation, to those who will repent and believe on his name."
Hello my homies:) I hope this week was a good one! We had another great one here! A lot of students were on fall break, or busy with mid-terms, so it was a little less-busy for us...but we still had some awesome lessons and cool experiences. ALSO we had transfer calls and I am STAYING in Terre Haute! YAY I'm so excited to be heeerree! I love this place so much!

We met with a guy named "M" who we taught for the first time last week. He came to the lesson and said, "I didn't realize that Joseph Smith was actually modern day!...I really want to learn more about this!" haha Good realization..and YES we will teach you more:) He was glued the rest of the lesson and super excited to get a copy of the Book of Mormon. I LOVE it when it just clicks with people! It's gotta be one of the coolest moments as a missionary :)

We have been so blessed to have so many teaching appointments, that we don't have too much time to find. BUT last week we were able to PC for a little bit and we found a really cool girl named "G". She was excited to meet and actually said after the lesson that it was an answer to prayers. It's been so fun to see our current investigators progress and for our new ones to be so excited about learning more! Just feeling sooooo blessed!

Our stake President held his 25th annual Pig Roast and invited our entire zone to go! It was so much fun. Between the beautiful fall weather, the enormous trees and all the food you can imagine...it was definitely a highlight of the week:) They had a massive bonfire, a tractor ride, and other fun games. SO much fun! I'll attach some pix:)

This week I have been studying a lot on the commandments and the blessings that come from diligently keeping them! It's amazing how the blessings are always so much grater than the sacrifice of keeping the actual commandment. I can clearly see that these commandments are great opportunities for us to receive blessings and draw closer to our Heavenly Father. How blessed are we that Heavenly Father has given us this direction for our life. "Yea, we have reason to praise him forever" :) Also...I love this scripture:
"But if ye will turn to the Lord with full purpose of heart, and put your trust in him, and serve him with all diligence of mind, if ye do this, he will, according to his own will and pleasure, deliver you out of bondage." ~Mosiah 7:33
The church is so very very true.

LOVE YOU! Have a wonderful week!

H E B R E W S 6:11

"And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end"
Hello mu friends:)

What an awesome week...it completely flew by!! And it felt like Christmas with conference this weekend!! Wasn't that just amazing? I loved the simplicity of all of the messages! Have Joy, remember God's plan, count your blessings, communicate with your loving father through prayer, don't look beyond the mark, remember the doctrine of Christ: Faith, Repentance, Baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, endure with joy to the end, Never forget those moments when you feel the spirit, Heavenly Father is there and He loves you. I just loved every minute. It was a different experience for me this year too, because we had investigators there. I was listening to the talks with them in mind, and still, the spirit spoke truth to my heart and I was amazed at the goodness of this Gospel, Christ's church.

This week we were able to teach so many!! It was a BLESSED week! In fact, one day, it worked out that we had appointments lined up every hour after 3 o'clock and they all kept their appointment too! We got really good at teaching simply, and we were praying so hard because we wanted to still teach according to their need too. Each lesson turned out differently, I was so grateful that the spirit was able to be there to direct us to teach in a way that would mean most to them. As we taught this week, I was just filled with spiritual eyes to see these people the way Heavenly Father sees them. It's amazing!! I know that God loves ALL His children. These are remarkable people! My Brothers and Sisters :) We are family (I feel a song coming on...lol)

Update on "A": This kid is blowing my mind. He came to our lesson and expressed his testimony of seeing the Lord's hand in his life. He's been going through some major trials in life and he powerfully testified that he has felt the h e a l i n g  Power of the Atonement. It was an amazing moment. He has come so far, I'm truly so amazed at how aware God is to each and every one of us. This is most definitely not our work. But i'm so grateful to be a part of it. ALSO...I love our YSA, they come help out at our lessons and give the sweetest testimonies. Just the best:)

"H" is still doing really well too!! He continues to "annoy" his family by pestering them until they come do family prayer with him hahaha he reads his scriptures every night and I'M SO PROUD :) This week he was very excited to show us his Nerf guns too hahahaha that was fun.

I know with all my heart that Heavenly Father is aware of YOU. He plays a roll in every moment of every day and you are in His hands!! How blessed are we? D&C 59:21
